Cluster Bombs Overwhelm Israel & Will We Find Ron Arad?

Dear Readers,

Today I am filled with sadness. The sun is shining in Israel but we all are running into and out of shelters. In Tel Aviv, it is very intense. Other parts of the country get fewer missiles. Everyone feels exhausted, including myself. And the exhaustion creates a more dramatic emotional overlay. The truth is that I feel like taking a nap. But I don’t want to. I want to write, read and be part of today. That is usually how I manage Sundays. I take the morning to journal, read, drink coffee and enter the week gently.

Today all of us in Central Israel were woken up to a siren indicating we had a missile coming in from Iran. I can tell by the way the application makes its distinct alert sound. I tried to make the rest of my morning relaxed and in-alignment with Sunday morning vibes. But when there are missiles raining down on your city… it can be hard. An interception that happened overhead in Tel Aviv was quite close to home. It injured two people, ruined vehicles and put a huge hole in the sidewalk. That was just from the interception and the shrapnel falling down. As I finished this sentence, we got our fourth alert of the day.

Then I got news of a relative who is not doing well in the hospital. It has taken me several hours to write these three paragraphs due to having to enter and exit the shelters. When I started, it was early afternoon. Now the sky is orange and the sun has set.
