I’m writing to you as I slowly resurface from what has been the most surreal chapter of my life. As many of you know, I became a Tel Aviv missile strike survivor when a ballistic missile struck my apartment, decimating my home and the Israel Daily News recording studio along with it. I’ve been living out of a hotel ever since, but I’m actively searching for a new place to rebuild my life. In the meantime, a dear friend has opened her home to me — I’ve turned one of the rooms in her apartment into a temporary Israel Daily News studio. The show must go on. Dr. Logan Levkoff, a courageous American Jewish leader whom I had previously invited to speak at Tribe Tel Aviv's Sunset Series event, made it to Israel and hand-delivered me a critical piece of equipment I need to keep the podcast running. She'll speak for us Wednesday.  On the professional front, I’ve had an unusual honor – gracing the cover of the Jerusalem Post Magazine — not just as the subject, but also as the journalist who wrote the cover story. It’s rare to be both the reporter and the reported on, but here we are. Wild. I had a “tragedy shoot.” Its like a photo shoot, but it's sad. Luckily, I am quite friendly with the photographer who came to shoot me in my ruined home and she was very sensitive with me.

I’ve put out several interviews and features over the past few weeks. To me, the most important work I did was releasing a deeply personal podcast episode using the raw audio I recorded from inside my safe room during the missile at

I also had a long sit-down with ILTV, was featured in an article in YNet, and stumbled across a profile about me in The Latin Times (I found this news piece while Googling myself — a necessary journalistic habit). I’ve also been mentioned in Israel Hayom, and clips of my story have circulated widely across social media, including a piece from The Jerusalem Post’s video team. I also spoke with News Nation just days after the hit. 

This season has tested me, but I’m still here, telling stories — my own and those of the people around me. The Iranian regime tried to take me down and take my spirit out. They won’t.
